BLOOD TYPING TUTORIAL PRACTICE
Read about “Blood Groups, Blood Typing and Blood Transfusions on this page and answer the questions based on the information on the website:
1.  Read What is blood made up of?” and then name and describe the four main components of blood.
2.  Read “What are the different blood groups?” and then answer the following questions:  What are the two types of blood systems that we use today?
3.  Read “ABO Blood Grouping System” and “Rh Factor Blood Grouping System”  and then answer the following questions:  What are the three types of antigens you could have on your red blood cells?  What are the three types of antibodies your body could produce related to blood type?
4.  Focus on a few blood types in this section:  
a.     Focus on blood Type AB-.  What types of antigens are found on this blood type?  What type(s) of antibodie(s) are produced by this blood type?  Draw a picture of the red blood cell and label the antigens.
b.     Focus on blood type O+.  What types of antigens are found on this blood type?  What types of antibodies are produced by this blood type?  Draw a picture of the red blood cell and label the antigen.
