1. Mealworm behavior lab: Group poster analysis

H.W. Answer this last mealworm analysis question:  Answer this on the same paper as your other analysis questions (#1-5).
 Question#6:  Discuss and analyze the date from multiple groups (at least one other group) in order to analyze the overall behavior of the mealworms.  {This was the data you collected during the poster share portion of today's activity.}  What conclusions do you draw from this data?  Explain physiological reasons for the behavior observed in this activity.   

AND  Study for tomorrow's Characteristics of Life and Scientific Method Quiz (Ch.1)
AND bring all of your assignments for this unit to class tomorrow so that we can put together your first unit packet.

Analysis:
1. What were 2-3 constants between your control group and your experimental group? Why was keeping these factors constant so important to the experiment?
2. Why was the Procedure: PART I considered to be the control in this experiment?
3. Explain the importance of having only one independent variable in each group’s experiment. How does this make your experiment a controlled experiment?
4. What extension activities could you do to validate your data?
5. Is the mealworm’s response to your group’s variable best classified as kinesis, or taxis? Explain your response.
