2. Draw out what happens to pyruvate just before the Krebs Cycle (the conversion of Pyruvate to Acetyl Co-A) without using your notes. Check your answer using your notes. If you are correct move on to problem 3. If not, do this problem again and again until you get it right.

3. Continue on your answer for question 2 for this problem. Without using your notes, draw out all of the steps of the Krebs cycle. Include all of the molecules in the cycle and all of the molecules that are produced. Check your answer using your notes. If you are then you are done. 2.  Notes:  Cellular respiration: the big picture and why are there so many steps??


H.W.    Cellular Respiration Review Questions I (answer all questions but make sure that q’s 3-6 are in complete sentences)  DUE TUESDAY 11/6
1. Draw a diagram that illustrates how organisms that are photosynthetic and organisms that respire are related. (hint: “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”). Include all molecules and forms of energy involved. Label the heterotroph and autotroph in your picture.
2. Draw and label (full and abbreviated name) the energy currency for the cell?
3.  Explain how this energy currency powers cellular work?
4. What 3 types of cellular work does the energy currency of the cell participate in?
5. What is the function of cellular respiration?
6. What is the chemical equation for cellular respiration? Write this equation down as many times as you need in order to memorize it.  In other words don’t go to sleep tonight until this equation is memorized. 

 
      Also, start working on your Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis Informational Pamphlet/Brochure (work on Side 1 and Side 3).  Side 3 is due on Wednesday.
