H.W. Finish Should this dog be called spot? 2 factor crosses (#1-3 on the bottom of the w.s.) AND complete the following questions:
Mendel’s Law of Independent Assortment :  Read page 317 and answer the following questions as you read:
1. What is meant in the first line of the reading: “Alleles segregate during formation of gametes?”
2. Summarize, in your own words, the section titled, “The two-factor cross: F1” in 1 to 2 complete sentences.
3. In the section titled “The two-factor cross: F2”, answer the question at the end of the first paragraph: “Did this mean that the two dominant alleles would always stay together, or would they segregate independently, so that any combination of alleles was possible?” (you know this answer already, but Mendel didn’t until he bred the F1s)
4. Which two phenotypes in Mendel’s F2 cross did not resemble either parent from the F1 generation?
5. What did the information from the F2 cross (you answered in #4) indicate to Mendel?
6. Define independent assortment.
